Dr. Viet received a MSc degree in Food Science and Technology in 2013 from Ghent University - KU.Leuven and a PhD degree of Bioscience Engineering in 2020 from Gent University (Belgium). He is an author and co-author of two book chapters and 30 peer-review papers as well as conference scientific reports.

Dr. Viet is an expert of fat crystallization & biopolymer applications. He especially interests in the phase transition of fat blends, the microstructure and the stability of emulsions & oleogel systems. Besides, he also wants to elaborate the applications of green technologies in solving environmental threats.

Dr. Viet worked as a lecturer at Nong Lam University (NLU) since 2007 and was appointed as the Head of Department of Chemical Engineering in 2021. He is also the co-leader of Laboratory of Colloidal Chemistry and Laboratory of Applied Microalgae of the Department..
